My journey with the Feldenkrais Method has been a long oneforty years to be exact. I was in college and already interested in mindbody approaches when I came across two of Feldenkrais' books, "Awareness Through Movement" and "Body and Mature Behavior." The underlying principles resonated with me to a great degree, and I thought the lessons themselves were brilliant.

I went on to learn massage therapy, and then went back to school for a master's degree in health education. I continued to do Awareness Through Movement lessons and the ideas about "organic" learning were central to my thinking as a health educator.

Now I am putting all of my experience, personal and professional, together as a Feldenkrais Practitioner. I look forward to working with others who want to learn about themselves and change and grow with this valuable tool.

While I am interested in all aspects of this work, I am particularly interested in the potential for high-quality aging. I have personally discovered that many, or most of the effects of what is considered normal aging are not givens and can be positively influenced or changed. Improved movement can be rediscovered and "aging" can be redefined.  I think this is something that everyone, pre or post baby boomer, should be considering.
